Persistence Support Resources

Mission Statement

The Office of Persistence Support Resources connects students with the campus and community resources they need to navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve degree completion. We serve as a central hub, ensuring every student – traditional and non-traditional – has access to the support they need that will empower their academic success.

Some of the resources we offer include:

Career Closet and Casual Clothes Closet

Located on campus, students are welcome to shop in our closets for the clothes they need.

David P. Keller Resource Pantry

The David P. Keller Resource Pantry is a welcoming space where students can access what they need when they need it. From pantry staples to prepared foods and personal care items, we’re here to help students get back on their feet and keep moving forward. Our pantry is here for moments of real need — when students are short on funds, between meals, or navigating a difficult time. It’s not a supplement to the cafeteria or a place to stock up on snacks, as we work to keep resources available for everyone who depends on it. Students are asked to take what they need and leave what they can.

Aunt Flow

Machines in several buildings on campus provide free period supplies in case of emergencies.

Single Stop

is a “One Stop Shop” for students to get connected to resources that will help keep them attain financial security. The idea is to have a place where students can go to get screened for multiple government benefits and local community resources, receive assistance in accessing those benefits and follow-up to make sure they’re successful. Benefits and services suggested could include food assistance, childcare assistance, Medicaid, free tax preparation, financial counseling and legal referrals. All services are free for Cedar Crest students.

ACT 101

The ACT 101 program at Cedar Crest combines the holistic support embodied within the culture of �鶹��Ƶ and helps students learn an applicable skillset needed to achieve success in higher education and beyond.
